Hello and welcome to The Devon Foodie. We like to think of this space as an online magazine of sorts and we endeavour to celebrate all things related to food & hospitality in the West Country.
We first started this website in April 2016 as a space to share our recommendations and thoughts on the food & drink scene in Devon. But as time has passed this website has quickly grown to encompass the entirety of South West England and further afield. Stick around for restaurant & hotel recommendations, product reviews, video vlogs, recipes and the latest foodie news.
We’re hugely passionate about supporting independent brands and working with West Country businesses.
If you’d like to work together please get in touch. We also have a Media Kit for PRs and businesses who would like to advertise through our website.
Meet the Team
Currently, there are only two members of The Devon Foodie team. Everything you see on the website – photography, video, graphics , etc – has been created by us unless otherwise stated.
The Devon Foodie all started in the Spring of 2016 when I moved back home to Devon after working in the magazine industry in London. At the age of 25, I have worked on a variety of magazine titles within the luxury lifestyle and food sector. Having failed to fall in love with the busy London lifestyle, I craved a return to country life and felt that that I was ready to branch out on my own through freelancing and blogging. Thus, The Devon Foodie was born. You can read more about my story in this article by Devon Live.
I also edit a lifestyle blog and when i’m not online you’ll find me reading Stephen King novels, drinking tea or on a country stroll.

Collette (a.k.a Mum)
The Devon Foodie has been a real family effort from the word go. Gaby’s mum Collette acts as the blogs principal photographer and a frequent features writer. Collette has a background as a dance teacher (having taught at the Charles Frost School of Dance) and an artist. You may have read a few of her hotel reviews on the blog and you will no doubt have seen a lot of her photography on The Devon Foodie Instagram page.
Some of Collette’s favourite things include dining out, nature photography, gin, local band MUSE and travel.
