Wicked Wolf Gin
This hand crafted Exmoor Gin is blended, filtered, bottled and labelled by hand in small batches of 25-litres, making it a really special find.
Whilst waiting in line to purchase some wine we overheard a couple request a bottle of ‘Wicked Wolf’. Well clearly, being the nosey folk we are we had to ask what it was and what exactly this intriguingly named gin tasted like. Naturally we tried it neat there and then and we were not disappointed. Wicked Wolf is a real experience. On the nose you get a beautiful intense aroma of juniper, zingy lemon and pepper and the taste is just as magical. Needless to say, we swiftly popped a bottle in our basket.
I can honestly say, this is the gin I have been waiting for. At £34 a bottle it’s not exactly cheap but it’s worth it. I like to add a splash of tonic water and a slice of lemon, as it really brings out its subtle flavours. Alternately, you might like to use this gin within a cocktail as it’s wonderfully versatile.
Usually I’d think twice before purchasing spirits, but since discovering this ‘spirt of Exmoor’ I’ve become rather partial to a tipple! In small quantities, of course..
