Inspired by this month’s Le Petit Ballon box, I decided to replicate Naomi Schimek’s Ocean Breeze cocktail.
Now, before you say anything, I know that I ended up adding WAY too much pineapple to my version of the cocktail. However, I have to say that it tasted really, really good, and I would actually recommend blending a few cubes of pineapple for this cocktail. The result was a fairly vibrant colour but it tasted fabulous.
For one glass of Ocean Breeze:
– 2 cubes of pineapple (or 1/2 a pineapple if that’s your thing..)
– 1 lemon slice
– 1 sprig of mint
– 20 ml of syrup
– 90 ml of semi-sweet wine (8 Place du Marché)
How To Make It:
Obviously, you can follow my directions in the video above (or check out Naomi’s original video below). But just in case you want to simplify the directions, here you go:
– Cut lemon and pineapple
– Crush the fruits (or blend if its easier) and mix gently with the mint
– Add syrup and wine
I loved my version of the Ocean Breeze and I’d like to know what you guys think if you give it a try.
Let me know in the comments below how your attempt went and if you share your photos on Instagram with the hashtag #lepetitballonuk or #devonfoodie your creations may just be shared on our social media…
