What is FOODFIT?
FoodFit is a food delivery service with a difference. Their team of expert nutritionalists design your weekly meals and deliver them directly to your door. Every meal is prepped and cooked by a Michelin trained chef and whether you’re looking to lose weight, gain lean muscle or simply eat convenient healthy food, they can design a personalised meal plan for you.
How does it work?
After you place your order with FoodFit, they’ll send you an online questionnaire to fill out. This will cover your fitness goals and give their nutritionalists a clear idea about the kind of meals you’re after. Your bespoke meal plan will then be delivered to your email inbox the day before your first delivery. This gives you time to check out the menu ahead of your delivery.
Your cooked, sealed meal package will then be delivered to your door in its own temperature controlled packaging. You’ll get two deliveries throughout the week and guidance on how to heat & eat your meals.
Our opinion of FoodFit
The convenience factor: If you have a particularly busy lifestyle and you want to outsource your meal planning, then I would certainly recommend giving FoodFit a try. It was really convenient to have an expert prepare and portion my food.
The quality of the food: I was genuinely surprised by the high quality of ingredients in each of our meals. For healthy food, they manage to pack in a lot of flavour and you really don’t feel like you are missing out. Something I was particularly satisfied with was the quality of the meat. Without fail, every dish containing meat was tender and flavoursome. You can’t fake good quality meat, as it really speaks for itself! I was also impressed by how fresh the meals remained throughout the week. The vegetables all maintained their crunch and vibrant colour.
The variety of the food: Each of our meals were fairly similar in style and flavour. This got quite repetitive by the end of the week, but I have a feeling they would shake things up a bit if you requested them to do so. Overall, there’s a real emphasis on good quality, cooked food – whether you’re eating lunch or dinner. There are no salads (although there are coleslaws and sides) so you’re not going to go hungry throughout the day.
